Paul Wilson Jr. joins the leadership team of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta

The Urban League of Greater Atlanta welcomes Paul Wilson Jr. in the new position of Vice President of Programs & Community Impact. Mr. Wilson was most recently employed at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs.

“We are delighted to have Paul join us at this time in our agency’s growth and expansion,” said Nancy Flake Johnson, League president and CEO. “Paul’s experience in the field will boost the League’s power to help our communities stabilize and build generational wealth through education, small business growth, civic engagement, homeownership, and more.

Mr. Wilson previously served as the Area Director of the UGA Small Business Development Center at Georgia State University. In that role he successfully led a team that provided consulting services, business solutions, educational training, and market research to startup, growing, and established small businesses that helped them achieve their short and long-term goals.

“I have admired the results-driven work of the Urban League for decades,” Mr. Wilson said. “The team here and I share the same passion for championing minority business development, expansion, and retention in Metro Atlanta and beyond. That means addressing a range of issues to ensure the well-being of communities and safe, sustainable spaces where enterprises can thrive.

“We see society’s problems and solutions through the same wide lens. It begins and ends with a respect for the promise of our democratic system of governance to clear the way for every citizen to have an equal opportunity to thrive in the pursuit of ‘life, liberty, and happiness’.”

A graduate of Capella University and the University of San Diego (BBA Supply Management), Mr. Wilson has traveled widely as an inspirational speaker promoting entrepreneurship and leadership development.
