About Us

Under the umbrella of the FEERC, the Urban Center for Talent Development and Workforce Solutions/Adult Workforce Services has a proven record of helping adults increase household income through career exploration, training, and access to quality employment opportunities. 

Programs

P2E leads clients through career pathing, a process that is driven by the client’s skills and career objectives. We offer financial education, one-on-one coaching, case management, and classes including GED prep, digital literacy, and life skills to enhance job retention. In addition, we conduct mock interviews and connect clients to high demand training programs, our employer talent bank, and hiring events.

HDS works with clients to enhance their employment opportunities in high demand/high income fields. We connect clients to training programs and internships in a range of fields including technology, construction and transportation, and healthcare. Restricted to prior Bowen Homes and University Choice neighborhood families/residents, this program offers occupational skills training, entrepreneurship, sustainable/livable wage employment, and financial empowerment skills development. With an emphasis on closing the digital skills gap in underserved communities, UTJP trains, certifies, and develops workers for high-demand technology jobs/careers. This 36-month comprehensive program helps returning citizens gain workforce skills, stackable credentials, on the job training, and jobs/careers within high-demand industry sectors. Participants complete the program equipped to earn livable wages with advancement opportunities. Our wraparound services diminish the pitfalls that often lead to reincarceration. Clients aged 50+ gain the digital skills necessary for 21st century jobs and careers. The program offers lectures, comprehensive workshops, and courses that build the confidence and knowledge required to successfully find jobs, change careers, or explore entrepreneurship. Limited to residents of Cobb County, this highly successful program offers Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training with employment in partnership with Wellstar Health Systems. For more information, please contact Tiffany Francis tfrancis@ulgatl.org

Adults who have barriers to employment (i.e.: unhoused, veterans, long-term unemployed, justice-involved, and youth exiting foster care) receive transitional services including training and employment counseling.
