Welcome to The Entrepreneurship Center (TEC)

The Entrepreneurship Center (TEC) was launched in Atlanta in October 2004.  TEC was designed to assist entrepreneurs with starting and growing successful and sustainable businesses in the Metro Atlanta community.  We are able to achieve our goal of cultivating successful and sustainable businesses through providing entrepreneurs with: Training Classes, Resources, and One on One Coaching Sessions.  As a result of the services we provide, entrepreneurs find themselves taking their business concept from pre-venture stage to business start-upacquiring funding to operate and grow their business; obtaining contracts to assist in growing their business; and hiring additional employeesto assist with their business growth.

Training Classes

TEC’s training classes are designed to address every facet of your business operations.  Our Business Start-Up platform provides foundational classes to provide entrepreneurs with information and resources that can be used to efficiently start and grow your business.  Additionally, we help you develop a strong business acumen so that it can be used to operate a successful business.

SMALL BUSINESS START UP ACCELERATOR

The Small Business Start-Up Accelerator Program is a 8 week small business start-up accelerator training and development program that will support entrepreneurs to identify a business venture, learn market driven fundamentals of planning for the launch and operation of a profitable small business enterprise. Classes are conducted at the ULGA’s headquarters located at Peachtree Center – International Tower in downtown Atlanta. Classes are conducted weekly and are facilitated by the ULGA TEC team, business experts and experienced entrepreneurs who share advice, guidance and lessons learned. Two cohorts will be operated during the program year with approximately 15-25 business owners in each cohort.

Starting with a business idea, participants create a business in real time. As students and entrepreneurs learn by doing, they will see the business idea evolve as they build the details. A strong, well-researched business plan increases the likelihood of success. Entrepreneurs will save time and money later on by making mistakes up front and on paper. The skills learned in business planning will pay off in other areas of your life, as well.
