The citywide Race2Read Challenge aims to erase the critical literacy gap by uniting schools, families, churches, businesses and public and private sectors to help increase reading proficiency of Atlanta Public Schools students. Race2Read encourages students, parents, families, caretakers and individuals of all ages throughout the Atlanta community to read 20-minutes a day and log all of their minutes at race2read.org. The goal is to achieve 10-million reading minutes for the 2020-2021 school year so that we can Build A City That Reads and Be A City That Leads.
Visit race2read.org to get started logging your minutes today, or contact Patrice Barlow below for additional information about how you can help purchase “wishlist” books and other items to support our students in learning to read and loving to read.
