Wells Fargo Appraisal Initiative

• The Diverse Appraiser Initiative is a program intended to eliminate barriers to entry for new entrants to the appraisal profession. Key components of this program include:

  • Encourage diverse candidates to enter a profession that leads to multiple career paths
  • Provide a direct connection between new entrants with tenured supervisors to obtain real-world field experience
  • Compensate supervisor appraisers to encourage participation in this program
    higher priority access to appraisal assignments
  • Direct financial compensation to offset income loss
    Provide business ownership & entrepreneurship training to new entrants to increase their success within the industry
  • Create a sense of community for the newest appraisers, building a support system existing appraisers have lacked
