Project Ready

Project Ready supports 60 9th – 12th grade students enrolled at Atlanta Public Schools and Fulton County Schools.

Project Ready supports 60 9th – 12th grade students enrolled at Atlanta Public School Benjamin E. Mays High School. Project Ready students are supported by Project Ready Coaches and Mentors. The students receive cultural, social, leadership and academic support through mentoring. The students receive 182 hours per year of individual, group, and virtual mentoring. The activities include service learning projects, college tours, behind the business tours, college readiness and career exploration via the National Urban League’s Project Ready 2.0 Curriculum that is comprised of three core components:

  1. Academic Development
  2. Leadership and Social Development
  3. Cultural and Global Awareness

Project Ready is operated via an in-school model that offers classroom sessions and tutoring Monday-Friday. Project Ready also includes:

  • Self Discovery and Career Exploration
  • College Readiness
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Parent Workshops
  • Life Skills
  • Behind the Business & College Tours
  • Tutoring
  • Mentoring
