The Urban League of Greater Atlanta stands with all communities of faith, civil rights and civic organizations, public officials and people of conscience to repudiate hate and violence, and to promote peace and respect for all people. Our condolences go out to the families of the victims of the horrific attack on the synagogue in Pittsburgh last week and other victims of hate crimes — including Maurice Stallard and Vicky Lee Jones who were murdered outside a Kroger in Kentucky, and people who have been targeted in the escalating divisiveness our country is experiencing. We encourage you to attend services at a synagogue today or tomorrow in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters who seek to “sow love” in the face of the hate.
Visit jewishatlanta.org/unitedwestand to find a synagogue near you. If you are planning on attending, please share on social media with your friends and family, and use #ShowUpForShabbat
