Our focus on economic empowerment doesn’t end with access to financial resources. We also provide programs and services to help metro Atlantans get the information and help they need to manage and grow their resources.
The Urban League of Greater Atlanta is committed to support youth and adults to move up the economic ladder. To that end, the League sponsors Financial Literacy, Homebuyer Education and Wealth Creation workshops and seminars that teach our community how to manage their finances, sustainable homeownership and how t create, build and sustain wealth.
Financial Literacy – In partnership with Mastercard, the League will offer monthly workshops to help youth and adults learn about household budgeting, banking services and relationships, credit repair and the importance of credit score, savings and debt reduction. - Homebuyer Education – The League offers FREE monthly Homebuyer Education Workshops to prepare first time homebuyers the fundamentals of the home purchase process. Includes information on selecting a realtor, types of mortgage loans, predatory lending practices, homeowners insurance, home inspection, steps to avoid foreclosure, down payment assistance programs and much more! - The Wealth Creation Series – This series of seminars is designed to take creating, building and maintaining wealth to the next level. In this tough economy, everyone needs to take a fresh look at their financial plan and strategies. Topics include Financial Planning, Savings and Investments, Real Estate Investments, Retirement Planning and Investing, College Savings Plans, Life/Long Term Care and other Insurance Plans and much more!
