Expanding Horizons: A Workshop for Small Businesses Entering International Markets

Start:
October 3, 2012

Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) has decided to continue its popular workshop series EXPANDING HORIZONS: A Workshop For Small Businesses Entering International Markets into 2012 with events in four cities:

May 10 – New Orleans, Louisiana

June 27 – New York City, New York City

October 3 – Seattle, Washington

October 18 – Chicago/Rosemont, Illinois

Since 2006, OPIC has held 13 EXPANDING HORIZONS events across the U.S., educating small businesses and investors about the OPIC and other U.S. government programs available that can help U.S. companies expand into international markets while supporting growth at home.  Specific OPIC presentations will include political risk insurance and how it can protect your business; accessing capital for your overseas projects; special support for renewable energy and clean tech projects; and how to begin—and successfully complete—the OPIC application process.  Other U.S. government agency participants invited include the Minority Business Development Agency and the U.S. Commercial Service with the U.S. Department of Commerce; the U.S. Small Business Administration, Office of International Trade; the Export-Import Bank of the U.S.; and the U.S. Trade & Development Agency.
