In this, Computer & Internet Essentials, hands-on class, students will learn to identify the parts and functions of personal computers. Students will develop hand-eye coordination through mouse usage and basic keyboard skills such as text production and use of the function keys. Students will be introduced to the use of an Internet browser; establishing and maintaining an email account; navigating basic word processing and accessories programs; using established databases and search engines to find information on the Internet; and being able to copy, save, and print documents from various sources. The Computer & Internet Essentials course requires a Tuesday and Thursday class or a Monday and Wednesday class.
